Associate Attorney: Plaintiff Personal Injury

Kisner Law, LLC | Hyattsville, MD | On-Site

Compensation: $140,000-$200,000 base, based on experience, plus a bonus based on meeting revenue targets, paid at least annually

About the Role

Kisner Law, LLC is a plaintiff-side personal injury and workers' compensation firm in Hyattsville, Maryland, serving clients throughout Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. We're looking for an experienced Associate Attorney to manage a caseload from intake through resolution with the help of a great team.

Responsibilities include case evaluation, client communication, discovery, depositions, negotiating with insurance carriers, and taking cases to trial.

You'll work directly with the managing attorney and have real ownership of your files. The role offers competitive compensation, and the firm is growing.

Our current docket is roughly 60% pre-litigation, 25% workers' compensation, and 15% litigation. Prior workers' compensation experience is not required.

Why Kisner Law

  • Accessible leadership: you'll work directly with the managing attorney
  • Support staff and systems built to move cases efficiently
  • Less bureaucracy and more ownership of your cases
  • A professional, collaborative team without the "stiff law firm" atmosphere
  • We're building infrastructure and culture before growth, not after

Compensation & Benefits

  • $120,000-$180,000 base salary, based on experience, plus a bonus based on meeting revenue targets, paid at least annually
  • Health and dental insurance
  • Paid time off
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Bar dues paid
  • Clear growth opportunities within a scaling firm

How to Apply

Please send your resume and a brief cover letter using the Apply button. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

A cover letter is optional, but it's a good way to stand out.

Key Requirements

  • Who We're Looking For
  • Licensed in Maryland, additional D.C. Bar admission preferred.
  • Plaintiff personal injury or insurance defense experience, with trial experience
