Litigation Attorney Washington, D.C. | Remote
We’re seeking a D.C.-licensed attorney with at least 2 years of civil litigation experience to handle property damage and insurance-related disputes.
Attorneys from a variety of litigation backgrounds are encouraged to apply, including insurance defense, personal injury, construction litigation, insurance coverage, and general civil litigation. Prior property insurance experience is helpful but not required.
The practice involves disputed insurance claims relating to roofing, storm damage, water damage, and other property losses. A relationship with a major roofing company is expected to generate a substantial pipeline of potential matters.
Responsibilities include evaluating cases, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery and depositions, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in litigation.
Requirements
Active D.C. bar membership in good standing.
At least 2 years of civil litigation experience.
Strong legal writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage cases, meet deadlines, and learn a new practice area.
Availability for court appearances, depositions, and travel as needed.
This is a remote opportunity. Maryland and/or Virginia bar admission is a plus.
Compensation: Base plus bonuses.
